freedom

Several years ago, to take a break from the rational process of graphic design, I started painting.
Like a child, I wanted to paint whatever brought me joy—longing to create from a place of freedom.

When I start a new canvas, I am driven entirely by intuition, putting down lines, shapes, and
colors that spring from within. I continue painting layer by layer. As the painting gains in complexity,
conscious thought and aesthetic judgement begin to play a role. Still, nothing is ever planned,
and serendipity is given a free reign.
